UX Research
Currently freelancing as a volunteer Lead UX Researcher at a startup called HappyCompass, we’re building a mental well-being app.
Some of my tasks involve developing competitive analyses to identify industry trends and best practices, creating and administering user surveys to collect quantitative data, developing user interview scripts, conducting user interviews to gather rich data and ensure we meet the needs of our target audience successfully.
Presenting research findings and insights to internal teams. Coordinating workshops with stakeholders to facilitate the collaborative development of research methodologies, define research objectives and develop research plans.
Gaymes is an exciting and vibrant annual fundraising event which my friends and I organise every summer. It's a queer sports day, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds and communities to celebrate unity and inclusivity . All donations go directly towards supporting various LGBTQ+ charities, helping to make a positive impact on the community.
UX Crunch is London’s premier user experience networking events company, hosting engaging events at diverse venues across the city that offer insight into the workspaces of leading user experience companies. I actively contribute helping hosting the event on a
monthly basis.
I had a great opportunity to participate remotely in a remarkable event organised by Out In Tech. An initiative focused on empowering the LGBTQ+ community through technology. This event was particularly impactful as it aimed at building websites for LGBTQ+ non-governmental organisations worldwide.
In this particular event, I was an active member of a team that developed a website for Rainbow Women of Kenya, an organisation doing essential work for LGBTQ+ rights and advocacy in Kenya, in just one day. It was a rewarding experience that highlighted the potential of technology to create meaningful change.

Background
Strong background in customer-centric roles, bringing several years of experience to the table. An expertise in luxury retail sales for renowned fashion brands. Shifting into the tech industry, I worked as a Customer Care Agent at a tech company called Lyst, a fashion search engine.
At Lyst, I not only handled dealing with customer enquiries but also played a vital role in collecting customer insights and sharing them across diverse teams. As a fundamental member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, I created internal initiatives to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
Besides my skills in User Research, I also bring a unique experience in customer-centricity, sales proficiency, and a strong dedication to advancing diversity and inclusion.
Education
A 10-month intensive UX Design training program.
The course is a mentored, intensive, study program that teaches the end to end design process via written material, in-house video tutorials, and most valuably, via regular mentor and tutor feedback sessions.
During the time of the course I had assigned to me 1 tutor to guide me through the course materials and 1 mentor to asses my work, both professionals with years of experience in the UX industry.
This practice-based Arts degree offered me the opportunity to study the whole process of filmmaking: Screenwriting, Directing, Costume Designing, Lighting, Editing, Cinematography and Production.
Throughout university, over three years, I worked on individual and group projects developing a set of highly of skills, which I use regularly in user research.
